Abstract
|
|
|
In this paper, we discussed the characteristics of Havelock Ellis´ study on the psychology of human sex and his strategy in overcoming the social strictness to the discussion on the human sex in his age.
Although Ellis was not a exact scientist in a strict sense, he could prepare the ground for raising the sexology to the level of the science and could pave the way to discuss openly about the human sex.
We found the key of his success in his natural historical approach and his cautiousness to publish his books, Studies in the Psychology of Sex, not for the public but for the specialists.
